Carolyn Marie McGillivray

Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the untimely passing of our beloved daughter & sister Carolyn Marie McGillivray. Carolyn passed away unexpectedly at her home in Osoyoos, BC September 1st, 2024. Born in Dawson Creek BC April 23, 1973 to Dave & Dianne McGillivray. Carolyn was predeceased by her grandparents Lawrence & Jean McGillivray, Thomas & Kay Mayoh, father Dave McGillivray and Uncle Larry McGillivray. She was survived by her mother Dianne Flannagan and her brother Scott, (Terre) McGillivray as well as many of her cherished aunts, uncles and cousins.
Carolyn worked as a Customs Officer and later as support services for Canada Border Services Agency since 1993. She also proudly represented her Public Service Union as the 1st Vice President of the Vancouver branch and Steward for the BC southern branch as well as the CIU Human Rights Rep that advocates for equal opportunity representation 2003-2008.
Carolyn was a sensitive, caring, nurturing soul and very much loved her fur babies, friends & family. She devoted herself to helping friends & family when in need. Her family, friends & animals were very important to Carolyn and she will be deeply missed. Gone too soon my dear sweet sister. Rest in peace.
In leu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the SPCA in Carolyn’s memory. A private ceremony for the family will be held at a later date
