Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kari Jones (Mann), who left us on January 17, 2025, after a brave battle with cancer. She was only 56 years old but lived her dream life filled with love, kindness, thoughtfulness, integrity, travel, and the creation of fantastic memories alongside her cherished husband, Dan.

Kari was a beloved daughter to Allan and Dianne Mann, and daughter in law to Joan Jones. Kari was also a big sister to Dale, Kirsten, Todd, and Brad. She will be profoundly missed by her large extended family, countless friends, and all those whose lives she touched each day. We take comfort in knowing she will be warmly greeted by her grandparents, Allan and Betty Rand, on the other side.

A celebration of life will be held in Kari’s honor on Sunday January 26, 2025, at Kettle Valley Memorial Funeral Home, 101-1873 Main Street, Penticton, BC, at 11 AM. A private family graveside service will be held at the Summerland Canyon view Cemetery in April. In lieu of flowers, we would welcome donations to Andy Moog House, where the staff provided exceptional care during her time there. We invite you to join us in celebrating Kari’s life and sharing the many wonderful memories and works of art she has left behind for us to cherish. This is so deeply heart wrenching. My heart goes out to you Dan, as I did not know your wife very well but being a cancer survivor you and I did have some moments of pain we shared in conversation of the love you had for your wife. You were the most amazing stoic husband as it’s very hard for those closest to us to handle the day to day illnesses of those we love. Bless her crossing into heaven Dan and find some comfort and peace in knowing she is at peace. Take each day as it comes as grief ebbs and flows in time. Give yourself the time to let it in and let it out…for life is full of many emotions with all that comes thru loss. Thinking of you…Janice Ponce

Kari was amazing, kind, warm hearted, strong, soft, courageous, smart, funny (lots of laughs whenever we got together as she had a great quick sense of humour ) we could go on and on, she was simply the best and raises the bar on how Carmen and I will strive to be. Always loved, never forgotten. 💞
