Obituary

GARRY ROYSTON WATTS

June 23, 1951 – February 21, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our husband and father, Garry Royston Watts, at the age of 73.

Born in Penticton, Garry spent most of his life here, raising his family with his wife of over 50 years, Lorraine, and building his career in Plumbing.  In his younger years, Garry enjoyed playing softball, and he was well-liked by everyone he met.  Garry also enjoyed fishing and camping, especially with his best buddy, Rick. Even after 60 years of friendship, the two of them made sure to see each other every Friday.

Garry loved “his girl” Maggie, a golden retriever, and loved taking her for walks and spoiling her with treats from his secret stash.  He never went anywhere without her.

Besides his wife, Lorraine, Garry is survived by his daughters, Jodie, Sarah (Terence), and Heather (Keith), his grandchildren, Deklan, Isaak, and Callia, step-grandchildren, Shae and Kingston, his brother, Ken (Caroline), and his niece and nephews.  Garry is predeceased by his parents, Royston and Olga (Dewald).

A celebration of life will be held for Garry up at Idleback Lake from June 20-22.
