Iona Elizabeth Dawson

Obituary
Iona Dawson of Kelowna passed away after a year-long battle with cancer on October 24, 2024, at the age of 62.
Iona was born in Red Deer, AB to Henk and Cobi Visser. Iona loved reading and loved her job at Walmart the last ten years. She would often tell stories about her customers and her co-workers.
Iona is survived by her three daughters, Christi, Jody and Cassandra and their spouses and children. She is also survived by her mother Cobi, sister Sonya and brother Mike and their families. She was predeceased by her father Henk and sister Sylvia.
A celebration of life will be held on November 8 at 12:30 at Okanagan Mission Community Hall at 4409 Lakeshore Road in Kelowna with light refreshments to follow. Flowers can be sent to 951 Currell Cres in Kelowna. Donations to Hospice House in Kelowna in Iona’s name are also welcome.
